Fluorescent lighting was introduced to markets
in the 1940s. It would seem little has changed since then. Actually, dramatic
improvements were made in the technology over twenty years ago. But typically
what one sees in mass markets is still the old technology.
The energy-saving advantages of fluorescent
have made them ubiquitous where lots of light is needed, but the
flicker, buzzing or hum, the
glare, and poor quality of light have earned them the bad reputation
they still have today.
SolescentTM Luminaires are
silent, do not flicker, and make beautiful, warm, natural light like
the sun. Decorative coverings provide elegance, and help distribute
light in a way that looks soft and makes any room inviting.
SolescentTM Luminaires use
the most advanced technology, and lamps that have one third less
mercury than traditional fluorescent lamps. They last so long that
one would replace 50 light bulbs before replacing one fluorescent
lamp, and using light bulbs one would consume 5 times more energy.
